Julian Wittich(1999 年生)是旅居紐約的台裔荷蘭籍貝斯手、樂團領隊與作曲家。出生並成長於台北,後赴荷蘭就讀阿姆斯特丹音樂院(Conservatorium van Amsterdam)。他活躍於台灣爵士與流行音樂圈,曾與多位一線音樂人錄音及同台演出,包括林俊傑 JJ Lin、9m88、黃宣 YELLOW、陳若玗 Jo-yu Chen、蔡雯慧 Wen-hui Tsai,以及許郁瑛 Yuying Hsu,演出足跡遍及金曲獎、國家兩廳院、浪人祭、台中爵士音樂節與台北爵士音樂節等重要舞台。
在歐洲,Julian 曾於多個知名場館與音樂節演出,包括阿姆斯特丹 Bimhuis、Haarlem Jazz Festival、Red Light Jazz Festival,以及立陶宛 Kaunas Jazz Festival。2021 年,他率領四重奏以改編台灣民謠的獨特作品,代表台灣受邀前往法國巴黎參與 JazzyColors 國際爵士音樂節。
Julian 於 2025 年自紐約曼哈頓音樂學院(Manhattan School of Music)取得碩士學位,師事 Buster Williams、Jay Anderson、John Benitez 與 Rogério Boccato。現為紐約備受矚目的新生代貝斯手之一,曾與 Grant Stewart、Chris Byars、Jon-Erik Kellso、前 Jazz Messengers 成員 Philip Harper 等爵士名家合作,並於 Ornithology Jazz Club、The Django、Nublu、Zinc Bar 等紐約重要場館演出。
2025 年 12 月,Julian 錄製完成個人首張專輯《Driftlines》,內容涵蓋其原創作品,以及爵士與巴西音樂元素的融合。專輯邀請到葛萊美獎提名音樂人 Bob Sheppard 與 Rogério Boccato 參與,並集結三位紐約爵士圈備受矚目的年輕新秀——Eric Stern、Willie Bowman 與 June Cavlan。專輯預計於 2026 年正式發行。
Julian Wittich (b. 1999) is a Taiwanese-Dutch bassist, bandleader, and composer based in New York City. Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Julian studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in The Netherlands. He has established himself in both the Taiwanese jazz and pop scenes, recording and performing with world-class artists such as 林俊傑 JJ Lin, 9m88, 黃宣 YELLOW, 陳若玗 Jo-yu Chen, 蔡雯慧 Wen-hui Tsai, and 許郁瑛 Yuying Hsu, with performances at the 金曲獎 Golden Melody Awards, 兩廳院 Taipei National Theater and Concert Hall, 浪人祭 Vagabond Festival, Taichung Jazz Festival, and Taipei Jazz Festival.
In Europe, Julian has performed at venues and festivals such as Bimhuis (NL), Haarlem Jazz Festival (NL), Red Light Jazz Festival (NL), and Kaunas Jazz Festival (LT). Julian and his quartet also represented Taiwan in 2021 at the JazzyColors International Jazz Festival in Paris (FR) with his unique arrangements of Taiwanese folk songs.
Julian obtained his master's degree from Manhattan School of Music in 2025 under the guidance of Buster Williams, Jay Anderson, John Benitez, and Rogério Boccato. He is currently making his name as an up-and-coming bassist in New York, performing with luminaries such as Grant Stewart, Chris Byars, Jon-Erik Kellso, former Jazz Messenger Philip Harper, and has performed at notable NYC venues including Ornithology Jazz Club, The Django, Nublu, and Zinc Bar.
Julian most recently recorded his debut album, Driftlines, a mix of his own compositions along with jazz and Brazilian music, in December 2025. The album features GRAMMY Award nominated artists Bob Sheppard and Rogério Boccato, as well as three young rising stars in the NYC jazz scene: Eric Stern, Willie Bowman, and June Cavlan. The album is set for release in 2026.
